Do you have bad teeth or something?
I write about the mundane and banal but mostly my observations are tainted with a little disdane for the mediocre because it is better to be good at what you do rather than living in a mindless plateau of repetitive action in which many people are happy to be doing.
Adelaide is not a big city, it is parochial and almost everyday a westerner would say to me how I speak good English while I smirk and say yes I do because I was brought up that way i.e. to be polite. In a way, their ignorance just makes me a little more resolute that the entire world cannot be this shallow. So I write to balance out my sanity because I am at awe with existence in general in this tiny little world we call Planet Earth.
My other passion are my boys…all 3 of them – they take all my time really but it is worth the effort because in return I am basked by their grace and love plus not forgetting my addiction to photography. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t picked up the camera – I would have just gone insane. Photography offers me an outlet where work restrains my creativity beyond words.
So enjoy the rather discordant read…plainly speaking – what I write is how I speak it.
